Around China Eastern Airlines



China Eastern's Management Shakeup--by Kenneth Tan From Shanghaiist
China Eastern's chairman Li Fenghua (李丰华) has been replaced by Liu Shaoyong (刘绍勇), chairman of rival China Southern Airlines in what's been described as a "government-orchestrated industry shake-up". There is no news on where Li Fenghua is off to next but we're curious because this was the guy that had earlier bitterly vowed that China Eastern would "never consider Air China as a strategic investor" after Air China blocked Singapore Airline's proposed HK$7 billion bid for a 24% stake in China Eastern. The management shakeup has piqued the interest of the Chinese business press. Some have speculated that Li is moving on to some new position in the State Council but this remains quite unlikely. As an anonymous insider revealed to the Securities Daily 《证券日报》, Li presided over China Eastern's worst performance ever, and bears some responsibility for losses of up to RMB5 billion in fuel-hedging. For that, Li may be sent off to "idle" at some work unit for some time before being "audited and reviewed" for his performance.

China Eastern Airlines look set to get more financial aid fromm the Chinese Government.
The case-strapped Shanghai-based carrier announced earlier this month that it was getting a 3 billion yuan(437million dollars) cash injection from the Government through its unlisted state-owned parent company. It said at the time that it would be selling new share to its parent,which would increase its stake to 68.2% from 59.7%.
Since then there have been reports in China that China Eastern may seek more aid and the airline says now in a stock exchange filling that its parent comany"intends to make material adjustments" to the previously announced share purchase plan. Its shares have been suspended from trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange until 30 December.
State-run meadia reports say China Eastern may get a 6 billion yuan cash insection,or twic as much aid as originally promised.
China Eastern,like most Chinese carriers,has been struggling this year as costs have risen and demand has fallen. It is currently being prepared for a possible merger with smaller Shanghai Airlines.
Shanghai Airlines is also seeking financial aid from the Government. Like China Eastern,China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines have been promised aid packages.

Forecast:We will put our eyes on the Airbus 350 and the regional jet in next "Aero-Thurseday".So don't go far away!

work daily

昨天是第一个回青岛后的白班,虽然早早地对今天A320短停、航前量有了心里准备,但昨天的忙碌稍微出乎我意料的.到了车间快速地换了工作服,就直接去做航前。这的确是个漫长的航前,A321我们作了一切工作程序,而我一直望着那崭新的A321,他的确是太漂亮。我不是在想入非非、胡思乱想,而是在监护飞机。出现那样的想法只能说明这个航前似乎与以前不一样,一看手表飞机已经延误了预定的离港时间。于是和机组联系,询问是什么导致了飞机延误,会是飞机故障? 啊哈,原来塔台的交通管制原因以及到达目的地天气原因使这架原本在9点40起飞的A321在10点10分起飞。到了车间快速地换了工作服,就直接去做航前。这的确是个漫长的航前,A321我们作了一切工作程序,而我一直望着那崭新的A321,他的确是太漂亮。我不是在想入非非、胡思乱想,而是在监护飞机。出现那样的想法只能说明这个航前似乎与以前不一样,一看手表飞机已经延误了预定的离港时间。于是和机组联系,询问是什么导致了飞机延误,会是飞机故障? 啊哈,原来塔台的交通管制原因以及到达目的地天气原因使这架原本在9点40起飞的A321在10点10分起飞。早上的航前短停就有4架,等待飞机滑进桥位是段漫长的时间,11点15分我回到了待命室,40分吃好午饭,55分又出去接短停了,直到3点20回到了待命室。不过工具箱还没放下,就被告知3点30在专机位有两架航后,什么白天就航后了?其中还架周检!根据周检和航后的工作量我们肯定不能回桥吃饭了,于是决定退饭在飞机享受机供品。周检、航后的工作量比较大,但在这之前我们先享用一顿在驾驶舱的美餐吧,伙食不赖:辣子鸡,红烧甲鱼,和鳗鱼饭。重点说说后面的周检吧,首先是要打开发动机包皮,这个活其实我以前做过,在勤务培训的时候也开过,应当没什么问题,所以我昨天主动要求由我来打开,但是昨天不知道为什么那个拉扣很难卸掉,一点感觉也没有,只觉得冷风吹过身体的每个部位觉得人快倒了。奇怪的感觉,但这感觉不好。作为一个刚回班组的新人,往往是兴奋而又积极的。于是我再次主动要求插电源车插头,但是我还是么成功,奇怪的是这些都是我在勤务培训顺风顺手的基本操作,看来除了久疏战阵,还有体力也有些欠缺。不过,昨天我还是小有成就在协助了换轮胎后,大组长在监督时特意要让我来换滑行灯,以前看别人换过,比较有自信,在局部细微之处组长跟我指导,很快我成功地换上新的灯,并通过了测试可行。总的来说,第一天工作日是个忙碌而又充实的一天,感觉这是个很有前途的职业,每次去上班都蛮兴奋,现在大学毕业生找工作比以前更加难了,我有幸找到了工作,而且是身处在航空业,应该知道熟轻熟重。
来点轻松的。昨天上班能够在一次看到久违东航美丽的空姐。昨天我又发出了对A321飞机的喜爱,飞机是新的,空姐是即年轻又漂亮。上海空姐当然是没话说,江苏分公司空姐依旧是那么体现江南美女多的特点,一个比一个清秀;山东分公司似乎已经把全山东的美女都招来做空姐了,怪不的我在青岛的时候看不到美女。青岛回来的第一个正式上班日写得比较多,难盖我兴奋之意hilarious!

workday

Back to work today!
This is my first work day since back to Shanghai.So I woke up extremely early(5:30 am in winter),do some packing and then took the shelter bus to the Pudong Airport with an empty belly.Yep,two-days-on and two-days-off I'm lovin'it! That makes me have loads of time both on the jumbo and my spare time.So what a wonderful system!
今天回到了公司听了公司的新安排,我还是在Airbus320/300车间ME三组,这就意味着我还有2天休假.其实我想在这里更多地谈论工作,因为工作是工作,娱乐还娱乐.昨天我和一朋友去了次CoffeeShop闲聊,他和我关系非常近,已经有8年的时间,但昨天那次谈话我觉得是我们之间最畅快最有建设性的一次.他告诉他在NYK遇到有趣的事情,还有最有价值的是他的"卢湾4大面"以及"the super-yummy sandwich in the city".呵呵,但是这次破天荒的是我们开始谈论了情感问题了,也许我们长大了.昨天的气氛非常醉人,温柔的灯光伴着舒缓的音乐,我真想死上海了,我真想拥抱这座城市,她真是太有魅力,让我神醉.在那时那刻,我已经彻底浸溢到一种氛围叫作"小资".Keep it, lad!

Six Weeks and No Sex!

S -Six weeks.
T-Six weeks!
S-Nightmare right.She told me she didn't want out relationship to start out on a physical basis as that is how it principally is going to be defined from then on.
T-Where did she come up with that?
S-She read it in Cosmopolitan.
T-Six weeks and no sex?!
S-I've got the balls like fucking watermelons I'm telling you.
Me: Yes,"six weeks and no sex" is the quote of the day. I'm off Tsingtao on this Sunday.Admitly,I don't want to go to Tsingtao if I can.Life there will be so boring.Six weeks and no sex! God help me out!

the CEA's CC(Stewardess)

This afternoon I went to have a meeting at CEAET's headquarter which is located by Hongqiao airport.It took me almost one hour and half on the road but just 30 minutes finishing the meetings.Oh!Jesus! The meeting is aim to pick loads of actor from the maintenances because the CEA want to make a 12-minutes video about the CEA'S maintenance,so we are the role player!Admitly, I have nothing to say about the video stuff. We-my 6 colleagues and I-all knew that there was nothing to do with us:while the video is under procedure,we are in Tsingtao! The meeting was so boring as usual.However,such a full-of-boring-and-meanless meeting didnot go to show we've lost the game.
So 30minutes later,we moved our arses and got out of the meeting room quickly.Then we wanted to go and grab some drinks in the Hualian supermarket on Yingbing San Rd.The supermarket is the next door to the CC(stewardess) Training Center.Yes! That's the reason we call it the most supermarket in Shanghai.The CC often goes there to grab some snacks!Hilarious!Indeed,loads of beautiful stewardess caught our eyes ,it really blushed our faces .We-six single man-acted like we still were boys.And what a coincidence! I met a CC who is on my friends list in Xiaonei,in addition,we often meet in Xiaonei.net.She is beautiful,can't imagine that we can meet in reality!Plus,call her Miss Gong(real name is privacy).After getting the drinks,only we had to do was a talk.
"It's really changed my mind! I thought our CC's look always let us down,but for now......."
"Yes,we can tell,they all are Shanghainese girl.Your most so-called ugly CCs are not Shanghaises girl;and the biggest weakness is the poor make-up.Seems like they're not good at make-up,I think!"
"Yep,I think so!"

Plus:According to some authorities from the netizens and media(besides the media fromTaiwan),the CEA's CC is the most beautiful.

The CEA Problem

What's wrong with you,ChinaEasternAirlines(CEA)? Everyone-the staffs,the customer and even the rivals might ask the question like that.For now,a proposed merger between ChinaEastern Airlines and its smaller rival Shanghai Airlines has been approved in principle by Shanghai government.Actually,I got in moods when I heard about this,though I am just a fish in CEA. You know CEA,my company, which is one of three carriers in China,even before 2003 it used to be the top one.But what is now? CEAs are getting throgh the most tough periods since 1988.The airlines has been seeking a partner as it struggles to cut its debt ratio and improve its efficiency and level of service,and a source with direct knowledge of the matter said in August that China Eastern had not given up hope on renewing a deal with Singapore Air, after its original agreement expired on Aug 9.This is what I wroked for.

蓝天红日,银燕当空
——岗前培训感想
蓝天红日,银燕当空,这是我一次次地看到东航的标志时,所联想的文字描述。个人觉得在所有的航空公司标志中,我们东航的银燕是最漂亮的。振翅欲飞的银燕是一种气势,更是一种腾飞的感觉。
进东航三个月,进定检部两个月,给我印象最深的莫过于我们东航的银燕标志。定检有时会工作到凌晨两三点。皓月当空,星稀云疏,广阔的停机坪上,一堆人在围着一架飞机工作,这是定检部常能见到的画面。很多时候,我会在隆隆的发动机试车的声音中,抬头仰望定检部机库上的那个银燕标志,我总有一种感觉,皓皓夜空下,茫茫大地上,一只银燕欲腾飞而起。
中国东方航空于1988年6月成立以来,一路坎坷,风风雨雨二十载。有欢笑有眼泪,有辉煌有低谷,一路走来,留下的是员工的汗水和一页页厚厚的历史。
历史终将成为过去,未来将由我们谱写,而未来将成就于今日的努力。银燕的腾飞需要包括所有人在内的每一个人的努力,尤其是作为新进人员的在座诸位。
风雨中的银燕,北去南归,历经二十载,今日已是伤痕累累。东航八月份亏损,八月份绩效减半。这就是今日之东航。有人说,东航是不是要破产了?我不这么认为。有时候,蹲下并不是因为累趴下了,而是为了飞得更高。我华夏民族自有史记载的公元前841年到公元2008年这2849年间,创造过何等的辉煌,又遭受过怎样的屈辱?两次鸦片战争时,民族抗日战争时,有多少人在问,中国是不是要亡国了?但是中国亡了吗?没有。东航也不会。今天,奥运会成功举办了,神七上天了,宇航员出仓了…… 放眼四顾,看谁还敢小觑我中华民族。今天,东航要走的也是一条复兴之路。调整战略,励精图治,精诚共进,再创辉煌,这也是今日之东航。
国家兴亡,匹夫有责,而一个企业的兴亡,也与每一个员工息息相关,包括在座诸位。明天,当东航再创辉煌的时候,其中或许会有诸位的一份成绩。
什么叫以天下兴亡为己任?我在公司曾经不止一次的听到这样的话,“我们东航”。这是一句很普通的话,但却是很毅然地将东航和自己联系在了一起。一荣俱荣一辱俱辱,这才是主人翁的精神。而在维修部,我听到过机务前辈这样一句话:“我的飞机要下来了!”我的飞机,不经意间的一句话,将一种职业、将一种精神融入生活中,融入生命里。我们东航,我的飞机,是的,这样的精神才是东航最宝贵的精神,精诚共进!
什么叫匹夫有责?有件事给了我很深的印象。昨天我们在荣誉室参观的时候,在一份东航安徽大记事海报的前面,我听到了这样一句话,“我看到我爸爸的名字了”。声音有一丝惊讶,也有一丝荣耀。当时感慨颇多。我突然想到一个问题,今天,我们作为新进员工站在这里,三十年后,当我们老去之后,会不会在东航留下些许痕迹?当三十年之后,我的女儿走进这间荣誉室的时候,她是不是会骄傲地对我说,“爸爸,我看到你的名字了,我以你自豪!” 亦或者另一个场景。女儿回来后对我说,爸爸,你在东航三十年,我怎么没有看到你任何一张图片,任何一点痕迹,甚至连你的团队都没有看到。然后我板着老脸对她说,我在东航三十年,全都瞎混了,在东航最困难的时期,我忙着和同事扯淡呢。同是三十年青春,却是完全不同的结局。如何取舍,相信诸位心中已有定论。
今年,东航二十岁,今年,我们二十出头。我们和东航同属青春年少。长江破浪会有时,直挂云帆济沧海。少年当如此,方不负青春年华。
幸又不幸地,我们在这个困难的时期来到了东航。乱世出英雄,在东航困难的时期,也将是英雄辈出的年代。浑浑噩噩地度日还是挽袖上前,其实不难取舍。多年之后回首现在,东航的一次次辉煌背后,不敢居力挽狂澜之功,但至少有只砖片瓦的汗马功劳;在一次次低谷的背后,不敢有中流砥柱之力,但至少有不屈不挠的辛勤汗水。如此,才对得起东航知遇之恩,也才对得起自己生平所学。
从向东航投第一份简历开始一直到现在,从认识到接受到融入,一路走来,其实感慨颇多。
极有正负,物有阴阳,事分两面,感慨自然也有优点也有弊端。说弊端不是为了抱怨,泄愤,而是提出建议,或许不一定是合理的。腾飞的东航需要我们每一个人去献计献策,去真心呵护。 (此处省略三点建议) 这些建议或许不会给我们已经进来的员工带来便利,但是,我们不是东航最后一批新进人员,明年,后年,大后年...... 东航又会有无数批的新员工进来。我们的建议将使他们更顺利地进入东航。 瑕不掩瑜。进公司三个月,看到了公司许多非常人性化和体贴员工的地方。 公司组织趣味运动会,组织篮球赛,足球赛,丰富生活.前些天工程部,新员工团委会的时候,为员工准备水果,团委书记的亲切传授心得。 这两天岗前培训,为员工准备水,甚至为没带笔的同事准备了笔芯。 在八月份公司运营有困难的情况下,依然发放了800块的过节费。 这些都是让人感动的。 这次的岗前培训,我觉得是很有必要的,受益也很大。这次培训让我们明确了公司的各项章程,让我们了解作为一名东航员工的权利与义务,为我们讲解了我们所关心的福利待遇,医疗保险等,也让我们了解的东航的历史,东航的精神,了解了那些为东航付出努力的前辈们,也让我们了解的东航的现状,更让我们对东航的未来有了展望与信心。
在最后,引用一个飞行员的在民航资源网东航论坛上写的一段文字:匆匆忙忙的回到驾驶舱,听到频率里另外一架飞机申请开车,回答是稍等,结果好一会儿没有回复,说:xxxx 能不能先开车,机务在下面很辛苦啊!听到这句话,心里感觉一股暖流涌上来! 还有什么比这种员工间团结,相互的理解与体量,更珍贵的吗?
而这也将是东航再次崛起的希望与源泉。
祝在座所有同事能在东航掀起人生的辉煌一页!
1、世界性的经济危机,不独中国;民航业的经营困难,不独东航。
2、在中国东方航空群的QQ群里,看到这样的群公告:不发钱...也得做好本职工作啊...我觉得能有如此心态与认识,何愁东航不能走在民航最前端?
3、那天和一个飞行的老乡聊天,谈到待遇问题,他和我说:你们机务拿这些钱是应该的,是辛苦钱啊!我突然觉得,作为机务,有一点是幸运的,因为得到了大家的认可。在民航资源网,经常看到有很多其他岗位的人在评论,说机务很辛苦任劳任怨。我想或许是因为大家见证了机务的辛劳!
所以,衷心地希望,大家能更多地去理解他人,去理解机务有多累,飞行员有多辛苦,空乘有多辛劳,机关有多不易,以及其他所有人员为东航付出的努力。更包容地对待同事,更认真的对待工作,如此东航才会腾飞!
刚入东航不久,认识如有不致之处,望见谅!

when I read this up last night,I thought that I totally agreed on that his some kinda opinions and ideas about the airlines that we work for and we got some common senses.He is a ambitious guy and has a huge faith that the Silver Swallow(stand for CEA) can fly in blue sky higher and higher. We gotta be back the game soon!
